Carb floats
Easy question that i cant find.. A friend told me to adjust the floats that you have to level the carbs by lifting the front of the bike.. this isnt true is it? just level with the center stand...

RE: Carb floats
To adjust the floats, you really should remove the carbs. You can check the fuel level of the float bowls if the bike is on it's centerstand. But no, you don't have to "lift" the entire front end.

RE: Carb floats
I dont have the tool to sync them.. I was hoping the floats were my problem.. here is a short run down of my problems.. start bike fully chocked... back fires lightly... (not always)... revs very high fast... push cloke in first click.. stable at 2k let warm up.. push choke all the way in... very stable at 1k... boggy inbetween 2-3k... over 3k runs perfect..
boggy = try to give gas and it trys to go but hesitates then finally kicks in
rich/lean/ or sync?

RE: Carb floats
clean the crap out of it and adjust the floats and sync it at the same time, if its still not running right it may be a air adjustment issue. make sure to really clean out the jets as well. do that then post back as to its condition.
