RE: carb cleaning
Easy money bros, do it your self. There are a couple of methods and its nit that bad.
1- go to auto parts store and buy 3 large cans of carb cleaner.
2- remove your carbs. Its not that hard. Take pics with the digital camera to help you remember any order in. There are four cross tip screws on bands that hold the carbs on the intakes they wil just loosen and the bands will just sit there.
3- Cover the 4 intake holes on the bike so nothing falls in there, I stuff them with plastic wrap or a towel will be good.
4- disconnect the choke cable and the throttle cables. Just look closely at them they are easy as well. Remove the fuel line.
5. Pull the cabs off, they are on there better good so you have to rock them and pull from one end. Once your break the seal they lift right off.
6. Now the fun begins. Remove the float bowls the are on with either 3mm hex or cross tip. Inside the bowls you will find the main jets and the pilot jets. Remove them with a flat tip screw driver. They are different so you will not confuse them.
7. Remove the black vacuum covers. Be careful there is a spring small parts here that you want to make sure you put back the same way they came out. Those are your needles and they adjust the amount of fuel that gets in.
8. After disassembly is complete start spraying the cleaner, watch your eyes, you will only get carb cleaner in them once, after that you will be very careful. It hurts like hell.
Spray everything, outside too. Open the throttle the see inside and there are lots on small holes where the fuel comes out and spray where the jets were. Also the springs and the needles. You can not spray enough cleaner. 4 or 5 cans would be cool too. Make sure you get those small holes and you will see cleaner coming through where the jets go. Spray from there too.
9. Afterwards let them dry, reassemble and reinstall. Also replace your fuel filter.
You just saved 300.00 bucks and had fun wrenching on your bike.
I would also recommend getting a service manual, I got min off of ebay for 25.00.
Hope this helps.

RE: carb cleaning
Once you get it done, start using a product sold at most NAPA stores.
Seafoam will keep you from ever having to do that again!
Put it in your gas tank every couple of fill-ups and it will keep those carbs nice and clean.
