Bubble balance

How acurrate is this compared to a machine balance? From a small town and the only choices i have are a shop the does the bubble balance for $20 or the other that charges $20 a tire.

They say that computer balancing, like done at Cycle Gear, can have a tolerance of 5% or so. That much off you can feel a vibration in the front end. Go with static if you have the choice.

You need to support 2 sides of axle somehow. Chairs, blocks, bricks. I made frame using 2 by 4. To eliminate bearing friction I shaked frame supporting axle.

Go to the DIY section and make your own static balancer. It's way more accurate than the computer or bubble balancer.
