I had a slight crash on my 03Z1k and ever since then my blinkers haven't worked. I checked the fuse in the fuse box and that is fine. I bought new front ones since theold ones broke, but even with that I can't find a way to wire them up so the blinkers will work. The running lights will work, so thenew bulbs aregood,but I can't figure out how to get the blinkers to go. Is there another fuse I should be looking for?

Have you checked with your meter? Prove one point then move on to the next.

yes check your relay but first check your bulbs.

 

hi if your new indicators have different wattage bulbs to the older ones they might not work with your flasher relay .check the wires coming out of the bike with a test light and if it lights then the problem is with your new indicators .chances are that your test light wont flash but take no notice of this just make sure your 4 indicator bulbs are good and the same wattage or they will flash too fast or too slow or mabye not at allbecause they have to suit yourflasher relay .if the wires coming out or the bike dont lightyour test light then youwill have to follow the wires to see where the break is

 

sounds like you've pulled a wire loose somewhere

 

Check the flasher wires. If it works from there, then check the wires at the bulbs.

You can get a simple multimeter at Wal-Mart for like $25, get an auto-ranging one if you can, and not the cheap $8 one.
