Default 98 ZX9R Need some info/help

Hey,
I've got someone who just put in new fork seals on my 98 Ninja but he thinks they are way too stiff. Was wondering if anyone knows the proper weight fork oil and the correct fill level for the forks on a 98 ZX9-R.

Thanks in advance!

ask a suspension shop or better yet take them into a shop being youll need a fork oil gage to determine the amount of oil to add and they would be better to answer on weights knowing your weight, riding style, temp of where you ride and all that.

hmm, as mentioned. Suspension is an individual ride and rider thing. Until you get your sags set, that will help with the springs. Then move on from there. Once the springs and sags are there, play with your most common expectations. Ex: I use 7.5 on the 7, 7wt on the 10.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the input, I decided to go with 15w oil instead of 10w and 119mm on the fill. It gave me a nice firm set for the corners and handles great.

Next she's off to the paint shop for some custom paint! I'll post some pics when sh'es done, if anyone is interested.

Thanks again!
