RE: 95 zx-7 carb problems
This ride is new to you so now is Prolly a good time to remove and thoroughly clean the carbs personnally. Check the rubber boots and other components on dissassembly. (possible cracks) Get to know your ride kind of deal. Mark the jet sizes down, the float height measurement, number of turns on the idle, etc in your manual for later reference. Don't forget about replacing the fuel filter while you are at it along with doing a carb synchronization. Take your time and enjoy.

RE: 95 zx-7 carb problems
oil? got a pic? Oil residue on the outside with tan ceramic? Or oil everywhere? Sounds like fouled plugs. But this wasmay have occuredafter your carb issue. Just a guessing game right now until everyone has details on your ride. That is why I prefer to go thru the entire tune up procedure. Mark things down and then you will know exactly what is happening and what needs done.

RE: 95 zx-7 carb problems
it was wet oil on the inside of the plug not on the outside by the ceramic i did a tune up when i got the bike only thing i didn't do was the carbs so the plugs are only 2 months old at the most it was just plug #1 that was wet there others looked normal.

RE: 95 zx-7 carb problems
i did plugs, air filter, oil, oil filter, lubed and ajusted chain, front and rear brake pads i haven't done a fuel filter or anything with the carbs i was going to send it in to have the carbs worked on and now it won't run so i guess i'll have to do it sooner than i wanted.
