92 zx6d stalling at high speed
Hey so i have a 1992 zx6d with 21 xxx kms. It starts fine. Can idle a tadb low sometimes. Turn signal relay died as well not that i think its relevant.
The symptoms: after 1 hour of riding in 25ēc temps it starting bogging once trying to get past 140kmh. The throttle was pinned in order to maintain any speed but eventually i pulled over then the engine stalled and would not start.
After 20 min put the choke out and it started fine and i let the engine warm until the choke was no longer needed. I proceeded and once hit 120-140kmh it did the same thing and stalled out. However it would start right away only with the choke out and warm up again. The bike should have been warm though.
I rode it keeping it under 120 and no issues.
Now she sits in my garage and it starts and revs fine. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Welcome to KF
Tossing out the same info that generally happens. Clean carbs (as in soak overnight, blow out with compressed air), set float height, verify sych, replace fuel filter and/or clean the petcock screen. Check and verify that the battery is in good condition. Make sure that the tank vent is clear. those are my first checks and procedures.
