'81 KZ750 LTD. hasn't been ridden in three years. carbs were removed and "soaked" two years ago according to the guy i bought it from. they look clean when i remove the caps. It will start and idle on full choke, but dies immediately when i give it throttle or open the choke. IT sounds like it isn't running on all cylinders and only the right two headers heat up when idling.

Does this sound like a carb problem? could it be the timing or distributer? does anyone have a suggestion for adjusting the carbs? any suggestions are appreciated.

 

Did you try to get a hot chick to sit on it, that will prob warm up the whole bike. Also, you should check the spark plugs, fuel pump, air intake, speaker fluid, and flux capacitor. Good luck and report back when you get to play with it more.

 

wow, soaked and cleaned two yrs ago is not going to help you out now. Look at all of the rubber boots and pieces. They are prolly cracked and wasted as well. Welcome to KF
