I have to agree with everyone else on this one...mechanic= BS.

You might double check the air pressure in the rear tire and make sure the balance weight did not sling off. And like everyone else said, make sure everything is tight.

Thanks Racedoll. I'm sort of glad to hear I am not the only one that is suffering this. Misery loves company and all!
If it's a matter of footwear making the experience worse then I would hate to feel what it would be like when I am not wearing my Sidi's.
I really hope this is just a temp problem as it is very annoying and I can think of nothing better than going for a run on my 636.
Sure. I would still check things out as it seems like yours is worse than mine. I rode in tennis shoes this weekend on the express running 80-90mph for an hour straight and mine was just starting to get uncomfortably numb. But really my whole body was feeling it.

Good info on the checking the mounts/bolts and on the wheel wts.

Any ride should not buzz you that badly. I ride with my Z leathers boots which are almost like mocassins and have no foot numbness at all. The throttle bar does vibe though. (06 10r)

Thanks for all the info. I have checked the bike and there doesnt seem to be anything obviously loose and the wheel weights are all there. I have spoke to my local mechanic (non-dealer) and he agrees that the dealer mechanic is talking bs. He says the first thing that should be done is re-torque the engine mounts which agrees with everything you have all said.
Going to phone Kawa customer service on Mon (shut over weekend). Hopefully get it all sorted out next week.
I will let you know how I get on.

Just to update the situation. I have spoke to kawasaki and they were as helpful as a crate of stella at an AA meeting.
All they said was that if I wasnt happy with the reponse from the mechanic I should get them to look at the bike again. When I said that I just thought the mech was just fobbing me off with a crap excuse he said that a kawasaki mechanic has no reason what so ever to give an excuse as everything is covered under the warranty so any work done would have been charged to that. Still not convinced so I'm going to take it to another kawasaki dealer and see what they say.
I will update this again to tell you what dealer number 2 said. Hopefully they will actually inspect the bike and find the problem. Fingers crossed.
