2007 KLX 250 Kouba Link
On my KLX250 I recently got, it has a Kouba Link. I think this is designed to lower the bike like 3"? I am also experiencing the bike suspension is really soft. Does this Kouba link affect how soft or hard the suspension is? If I remove the Kouba Link is there a stock link that is suppose to go in its place? I didn't see one on the exploded parts diagram on Kawasakipartswarehouse.com
I got the bike from a kid who weighed like 130 lbs, I weigh 190. If the link is not the issue, is it just a matter of adjusting the rear shock? If so, is there a thread on here for this specific shock adjustment?

Any lowering link softens the suspension. The stock link is 46102 ROD,SUSPENSION
46102-1360 $31.55 the price is for both links.

Someone on here no doubt has a pair laying around after lowering the bike.
Or what about the guy you bought it from?

Adjustments to the shock will not compensate for a soft feeling.
After you get the stock linkage back on the bike and it's still too soft then you need to get a heavier spring for the shock.
I weigh roughly the same as you and have replaced both the shock spring and the fork springs on my 2007 KLX250.
I installed a 6.1 kg/mm spring on the shock and .44 kg/mm springs in the forks and I'm happy with these.
You can get springs at various places, but I bought them from Cogent Dynamics Cogent Dynamics - USA Made Motorcycle Suspension
I have a web site with KLX250S information at KLX250S Home Page
