06' ZX10R w/akropovic full exhaust, ivans retard that's it...bought bike this way

@ 200+ temp bike will not go over 2-3k RPM & or shut off??????

was told'
1. need power commander or
2. take the ivan retard off

Incorrect a/f will cause overheating along with plug and coil issues. You will need to adjust the a/f with that full exhaust ie the PC3 as mentioned or something similar.

The only sensor that measures temp is the rad sensor. However, why or is the ecu shutting the engine down at that tempreture?

 

I have no idea? someone said it could be a sensor but not sure about what one

 

Have you checked the self diagnostics yet for any codes? There is a pretty good troubleshooting list in the DFI section of your manual. Pg 3-33 Check that out as well.

thats cool...but the wire's were cut so that is another problem.
