new to this website so ill try and be fast
today was rideing my bike and as i took off i hear a knocking sound but only happens when i speed up in anygear or rpm was thinking a rod anyone know?

 

It only happens when its under a load? Not quite sure what it would be but it certainly doesnt sound good. Good luckon the fix, hope it isnt serious.

Wouldn't you be able to hear a rod knock with the engine unloaded? Then with your stethoscope be able to narrow where a knock would be as you blip the throttle? Could it be pinging under acceleration? Similar to a bad fuel or spark? It could be what you are thinking on the rod failure, just throwing other thoughts out there before an engine tear down.

btw i got it fixed only cost 250 but chain was sliping off the front gear

 

Thanks for the fix answer. $250 for a front sprocket, rear sprocket and labor does not sound too bad. Congrats on the fix.
