Default 2001 ZX900e Frame Sliders Keep Breaking

Silly Post ?
My frame sliders break off at the bolts, or break the tab off the frame and rip holes
out of my fairings every time i take a digger....

Im ready to build a steel cage around the damb bike..
is there anything else i can do? but pay the welder every time the bike gown down
(i could of bought a welder and a 1/2 buy now)
Fixing the hole that got ripped out of the fairing...
blah blah blah..
Theres got to be another way?

i will post some pics tonight when i get home, but
i really dont think the brand of sliders would matter much, as
the first 2 diggers, broke the slidder bolts both times, i then switched
from stainless bolts to hardened bolts.. thats when the bolt held on and the tab off the
frame broke.. got that welded two more times
(now were into the 5th or 6th digger) and 2 stater covers, fairing fixings etc...
and Yes i did this.. so dont laugh
i was so pissed the last time, i JB welded the tab back on the bike.. took another digger
a few weeks later on the JB welded side..
belive me or not the bolt broke again and the JB weld
held like a champ...

i figure there must be someone else with this problem somewhere in the world.. and
I cant be the only one to crash a zx9

thats alot of going down. i bet the ladies lve you. lOL god i crack myself up. um maybe take a riding safety course or do a couple track days. why are u crashing so such? Frame sliders arent really designed to save your bike in a real crash but if you wash the rear out going fairly slow or drop your bike is what they are designed for. you may want to buy a crash cage (like the ones squids use)

A rider safty course?????? Track Days???
Yes i do believe im way over due for a track day but
Ive been riding this little home made race track for about a year now
alot of the problem is... the bike is a little big for this particular track
see image My Home Made Track

its 1000 ft up the straight 600 ft across the top
the S's are about 330 ft each in length measured across from entry to exit
and the last is again 600 ft total lenght is .72 miles on the odometer

Bash me all you want... its cool... its free... and you dont. know where it is!!

But seriously.. im way way to hot into the turns...
Funny yes.... yes funny..... your thinkin'.. ok no sweat.. im hot.. im braking .. im ready ... BAMB DIVE@!!
grab a fist full of brake, lean as hard as you think you can (PS it will go further) and then
WOOPS.............. AAAAHHHH S%*T ....
No no .. ok its going to be ok ... But in real life.. youve convinced yourself at least 3 seconds ago
you werent really actually going to make it.... right

ok ok its ok grab-step a lot more brake .. its ok she'll stand right up, ill hit the grass brake to the stop
piece of cake...
But only to find out that going good.. going smooth.. i.. what the... where the... my bike.. owwwww
the rider behind you stop to see if your ok... You what? laughs... NOOOO you were not even close to
standing that bike up?? straight.. ha ha
no wheres near it... what the heck were you thinking.. Slow the Hell Down. as he giggles his *** off at me..
Then your thinkin' ...
Im ok? yea im ok... Good im ok.... Now Where the F#*K are my Cigarettes.

So yes... 2001 ZX9e Frame Sliders Keep Breaking

Not that I am a expert but I hope you’re not hard on the brakes when you start your lean.

Well - that is a nice little track you've got there! I hope that you can figure out a way to keep those sliders from breaking, good luck!

Suggestion though - if you can swing it, maybe buy a smaller bike for your track.
