2001 lakota sport dies
Hey guys I have a 2001 lakota sport. It wasn't running when I got it but I got it running. I've done a new carb new oil and an air filter. But the air filer is a universal cut out I got down at the powersports store. The quad idles but when I give it gas it dies. Also when it's idling it sometimes dies. It has a new battery. Also new spark plug. I have all the plastics off too. I noticed when I put my hand where it pulls air and accelerate it, it does accelerate.

Sorry, I can't help with the specifics of this carb or ATV but generally you will have a pilot jet(which handles idle), a need jet(for part throttle), and a main jet(for wide open throttle) and you'll want to tune them in that order. The jets are replaceable with different sizes and often on the needle you have a clip that can be moved to different positions.
You may want to verify that the carb came with the factory jetting for your Lakota. If it's a model that gets used in multiple machines, it may have jets installed that are way off.
Usually the factory jetting will get you pretty close and drivable, unless it's modded.
