it might help you to read my recent post title 04 zx636 idle/shift issues. I posted pretty much this exact same problem so you might find something useful there! Goodluck to you, let me know what you find out and i'll keep you posted as well

hm... on that seat you gotta take off therear set first, then theres gonna be a lil loop under that you yank on to release the latch for the main seat..
won't see much, tho.. gotta take off the tank to really see anything useful.. and even then, it's hit-and-miss on what you can actually access and see..
sounds a a little like fuel starvation.. maybe a low speed circuit/jet clogged, incorrect float height.. ect..
i'd look at what sould pose the possibility of faulting on a thermal defect as well.. like if the coils are heating up, expanding, and theres a break in the coil that only shows when hot.. same with the CDI..
i found that compressed computer duster stuff in a can is AWESOME for thermal testing..
eh? doesn't come out cold..
nope.. BUT, if you hold the can upside-down, it comes out at a below-freezing temperature.
chill a suspect part with your inverted lil can of goodness and se what happens.. just be careful not to shock the part into breakage..
check your carbs and fuel delivery tho.. make a few noteson if it runs while choked, or in different ambient temps, and get back to us here..

wow, good learning right there.
Synch the carbs, explained in your manual.
"Clean the jets", also explained in your manual.
Plugs and filters as in (Oil?) is a shopping preference. I normally buy a dozen for each ride from a favorite vendor that is not a sponsor here.
Have fun and take your time on the ride synch and carb cleaning.

RE: 1994 zx7r dying on me
The idle screw will do it, check your manual and reset it properly. If you dilute the gas too much you could have an issue, but it shouldnt be intermittant like what your seeing. I doubt your additive is causing your problem.
