81 miles to the gallon?!?!??! I would say that is great. How many miles to the gallon do you think you should get?

Welcome

I am not familiar with the ZX10 setup. You should get a manual and try to get them hooked up. I know some are just hanging in there while others have a specific spot to hook into. As for the low gas mileage, is the bike running real rough? It could be a carb rebuild is in order, especially with the age of the bike. This also would be in the service manual. Was the bike sitting long? How many miles?

Ok, The carb should have a fuel line which goes to the petcok and a vacuum line that also attaches to the petcock.

For the life of me, I can't remember where those lines go. lol...If you have deleted the KLEEN system, 2 of the lines will be vent lines (one being an overflow)

81 miles to a tank of fuel is def a huge problem. Are you sure u r only getting that mileage? If you are basing that on the factory odo, have you checked the acuracy of the odo? It's a 5.4 gallon tank on the B series. That is only 15 mpg. Still have stock air cleaner box and filter? Still have KLEEN system? Factory jetting on carbs? Have you checked caliper drag? bearing drag?

I can look this weekend and see exactly where those three lines go on mine. I have deleted the KLEEN system tho.

As for fairings, you can still buy them from places like bike bandit, but it's gonna costa ya some cash. If you watch on ebay, you can find quite a few parts from some bike yards parting out. IF your fairings are fixable, I would def say re fiberglass.

Ya, the service manual on these bikes suck. They only made the B series for 88,89 and 90. and I guess they figure screw the manual for these bikes. lol

I can look this weekend and see exactly where those lines went, cause I can't remember right now. lol
