1987 zx600 wont start
hey everyone i just picked up a 88 zx600 that doesnt run. i put a new junction box on it and it still makes a buzzing sound when i try to start it without the clutch. When i put the clutch in its louder.
UPDATE!!!
I took the bikes body parts off and when i took the tank off i found a connector with nothing attached to it...Hence the problem, i belive. And other things that came to my attention.
here are some pics of what i found if anyone can shed some light
When i removed the tank there is a connector with a relay and a 6 pin connector with nothing on it.
anyone know what goes there?
when i removed the rear tail fairing on the right side of the bike there is a white wire with a blue stripe along with a black and yellow wire for ground. anyone know what it its?

Don't be scared, we are all your friends. Sounds like an intervention..just kidding..unless there is a reason that we need to do an intervention, in that case maybe we don't want to know.

Sounds like the click-click-click of a low battery not having enough juice to trip the solenoid? Double check the charge on your battery, then check for a GOOD ground, then check connections to starter relay and the rest of the ignition chain, including the starter switch and ignition (key) switch. If that doesn't fix it, describe the sound in greater detail.

thanks alot jeff, i had the same feeling as far as a bad ground. Ill have the battery load tested this weekend and im gonna go thru the entire harness to check for any pinched wires/bad grounds. i found a ohms meter at work ill use as the manual describes in the electrical chapter.
thanks. anymore input will be appreciated. i will also make a small video of the buzzing on my phone.
