Default 1980 KZ750H ltd

I have recently removed sprockets (16t/38t) 530 pitch. Looking up factory specs that call for a 13t/32t 630x84, to stay close to the ratio I took off I purchased a 15t/35t 630 pitch, due to the size of the 15t with the size of the chain it wouldn't pass through my case with enough clearance, so I am wondering if anyone has had the same issue? I would like to keep the bike as stock as possible but don't want to loose the mileage and rpms I got. If I go with the 35t I have and a 13t, my ratio jumps from 2.37 (which is what I took off) to a 2.69. I am not looking for great take off or anything, low highway rpms the better. Any help would be great, thanks and have a good day

Not sure if this link might help: Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator Sounds like you've already "done the math." Would a 16/35/530 work?
Maybe the sprocket-heads on here can be of more help than me.....

thanks, I was wantin to keep it stock but if I had to go with a 530 pitch guess I could, probably why the guy before me changed it. I go long distances and going stock would kill my gas mileage lol anyway thanks again

I had an early '80's KZ750LTD too way back in the day. I remember dropping a couple teeth in the rear sprocket for the same reasons as you, but I have no idea if my front or rear was still stock size at that time. It was a good change.

More useless post. Sorry I can't be much help.

The 13T 630 that I took off of my LTD is almost exactly 3.5" outside diameter. I hope that helps.
