Just one more thought. Be careful jumping your bike with auto batteries. Electronics are more sensitive in the newer bikes. A good spike can ruin your day.
If it's the original battery you're using, go ahead and replace. Even if you have a little life left in it, your charging system is working too hard.
Good luck!

Default front sprocket

Through all this I also discoverd I have a broke tooth on front sprocket. I bought a vortex sprocket kit and want to know if front sprocket is reverse threads or lefty loosey. I will try and remap power commander or remove it and see if bike starts. It is located above exauhst maybe I will try and relocate. One more thing....How do I get pic. of my bike to show on my post like the rest of you????

sprocket- double check the threads, but CCW to remove the nut after you flatten the washer good. Apply the rear brake and use an impact gun on that CS nut.

Default zx636 whine

Ok I removed my power comander and bike started. Now That I got that issue solved, I put on a vortex rear sprocket and new chain. On the way home I noticed a whining or screeching noise coming from bike. Have not pin pointed if noise is related or not yet. Cant tell if comming from front or back of bike. Any suggestions would be appriciated. Starts to screech at about 40-45 mph. 1rst and second no screech. starts at high rpms in third then fourth so on and so on. When I pull in clutch noise goes away. When I hit the throttle noise picks up. bike has 12,700 miles

Sounds like something is cocked and/or getting side-loaded; chain, front sprocket, clutch, double check all of your work.

Default whinning

Ok so I finally got a chance to ride bike. It has been a week since I posted about the whine I am hearing. It for sure stops when I squeeze clutch and the noise does not start till about 4th gear. then I hear it in 5th and 6th. The whine goes along with the throttle. When I hit the gas and put strain on bike I hear it. I did put bigger rear vortex sproket, but only a 44 tooth. I have the vortex -1 front sproket and I was riding home to put it on when this noise started. Clutch seems to be working fine. I put new RK 520 chain with sproket.
