Red face 05' 636 wont start

I am new here, but not new to bikes. My bike ran and started fine 2 days ago and now it will only turn over. Maybe backfire once or twice. checked battery. It sounds like it is not turning over all the way. Just whinning at me then a backfire. checked my ecu with another one i had, not that. could it be starter or what. I hooked bike to car battery and still the same result. I arched the battery while hooking up alarm, but bike started after that. alarm only ran to battery, no other electronics. Please any ideas will be greatly appriciated

I do not think that your battery is in good enough condition to handle the constant extra load of your new alarm system and the bike too (dead cell possibly). I would prolly get a new battery and make sure all terminals are clean.

disconnect the alarm and get a new battery...see what happens from there...you can take your old battery down to an autozone or the likes and have them check it out as well (its free)...

Default 05' 636 no start

I disconnected my alarm, trickle charged battery, and hooked battery to truck and still no start. I did however turn the key on and off three times to check and see if maybe fuel pump. After letting it prime three times, I then tried to start. it started for a second. Is it possible fuel pump bad. The bike started cutting off on me quite a bit towards the end there as well. I would be going down highway and bike just cut off. I would let it sit for about 60 sec. and it would start right up. I orderd a pump off ebay for 20 bucks. If thats not it, any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Plus adding a new fuel filter.(sure you knew that) I think you might be on it.

there has been the rare occurrence that the PC3 has dropped the map causing major problems...you can read about it on their website...

$20 for a fuel pump is pretty good pricing. Never hurts to have an extra one on the shelf. I would have tested the pump pressure and flow first and record it.

Yes, too much heat on the pc3 with the undertail mufflers has caused issues as well.
