Default Are you a Track *****?

Have you been to the track? If you havent then you NEED to go! Its the best way to dial in your bike and push your limits! And if your a track ***** as much as I am it'll give you a hard on!So I took the "Class" track day with Reg Pridmore as the head intructor and it was fuggin awesome! Its not like other track days where they kinda just let you on the track and before you know it, it turns into a melee for racers out there! This wasnt like that at all, it had structure and one on one instruction, it was more like an advanced rider course really! I will be doingthree or four days next year.

Here are some pics

Edit: I am trying to upload more files. Why is it only one file can be uploaded?

i'd like to get some track time just so i can really get a feel for what is safe on my bike without risking a wipe out on public roads.

you can check the little box that says "embed image" and that will put the picture into the post as a clickable thumbnail.

if you edit the posts you can still click the box.

Yeap its amazing! there were these twist'y that I was slightly intimidated by, and because of the knowledge I retained from track days and gettingmy bike dialed in which was a huge plus. I now hit these really tight switched fast and hard with a solid line all the way through! It really improves everything about yout riding technique!!!

Pipedown, I've done a couple track days, and they invariably turned into the "melee" you describe. There's something about having other guys within inches of my bike closing very very quickly (from 140, 150mph) into turns that I don't find particularly pleasant. I found it hard to concentrate past about 15 minutes with these kamakaze riders cutting me off. As for the rush, the only rush I felt was wanting to bust some faces when I finished. I do NOT consider myself a rookie rider (by any means)but the track isn't for me. Call it no "nuts," call it lack of the "will to win" or whatever metaphor is appropriate, but I'll (gladly) take my chances on the street. It's like riding with the worst bunch of juveniles I've ever encountered.
