whos got a radar detector tell us about it. do you like the battery operated or did u hard wire it. can u hear it when it goes off or do you gotta run a earpiece?? I dont consider myself a racerboy but i ride mostly rual backroads speed limit 45 and my normal everyday cruising speed is pushing that 30 over criminal speeding limit pretty close. also best mounting solutions tell me how you do it thanx

 

I do now!!!!Picked up a Escort 8500 last summer and a Radar Screamer from radarroy.com and hardwired into my14,04 zx10 and my 04 Aprilia.I also got a stem mount that can go between the 10 and 14.I just got extra wires for the detector and screamer.And belive me you can hear the screamer at 80+!

 

Is the screamer just a loud speaker?
Anyway someone stole my detector, never really got to use it so I'm no help to ya.

 

could you hear it without the scremer sounds nice but i dont wana spend the extra 100 bucks and i dont want people 5 cars back 2 hear it go off anyone have any experience with that H.A.R.D helmet assisted radar with the little light that goes in your helmet to let you know when it goes off where you but your 8500 from was thinkin bout ordering from radarbusters

 

Ok so my new system shows up 2morrow same as yours NM ant tips on hookin it up? did you buy their fuse kit and if so did you hook em both up to one and does it matter which one? I know thats alot of questions at once. i only got a single stem mount cant figure out from your pic how you got your screamer attached though. radar roy said i could mount it under the mount?? seems like that would direct the sound down or i could tape it up inside my fairing somewhere. Will know better tomorrow when it gets here i already got the detector just waitin on bike mountin stuff.
