I was just thinking the same thing.

Actually, I was looking at the new'07 Yamaha R1 on motorcycleUSA.com this morning. I think it's the first Yamaha to ever "catch" my attention. Sorry Notstock. LOL

Dam your good bro. Here it is on the bike, I really like the new R1 but I do not think this is going to be my year, I can still dream though.

O7 brings better suspension, new swing arm; those throttle bodies with longer intake tubes and throttle by wire. No throttle cables wonder how that is going to feel. The styling is still there and I bet it will still be a very popular bike.

Stock street bikes are getting closer to race bikes year after year soon they will just be GP's with lights. lol
Here is a link to the info for those interested and to those kaw vans that have not blocked it LOL.

My friend has an 05 R6 with throttle by wire... he says it is notchy. I rode it once - couldn't tell much of a difference.

The 06 10r is "notchy" in throttle response and has no "throttle by wire" either. That is reprogramming time.

Thought I read about Yami going to a 4 valve setup also. Some big changes in a short amount of time.
