What was your first motorcycle
Just wondering where it all started for you, it started in 1969 for me when I was 15. I worked my butt off doing odd jobs and I saved enough money to buy a brand new Montgomery Wards Riverside 250, it was made by Benelli but sold by Wards. I looked up an old add for one they sold for 569.00. amazing. I thought I was the coolest kid in the neighborhood. LOL.

Mine was a DOT, with a choice of Villiers 9e and Villers Starmaker competition engine.
Followed by BSA Beagle, Royal Enfield Turbo Twin, BSA Rocket Gold Star, James Captain, Ariel Arrow, Norton Dominator, AJS heavyweight 350,...... - usually two or three at once. I didn't have my first Japanese bike until 1976.
My ER-6f is my first Kawasaki.

In 1979, my step dad bought me a 74 Hodaka Combat Wombat. He bought it with Travelers checks while we were on vacation in Montana. Here is the exact same bike. Now you know where I get some of my crazy ideas. I was 14 and it was awesome...........thanks dad.
Equipped with mudflaps (old school) and a place for extra gas. Some things just don't change with me.

Deej, This must be a PNW thing. When I was 13 I bought a Hodaka 100 B+. Those bikes were great. I often consider finding another one. After the Hodaka I got a YZ 125. When I was 16 I bought a new Kawasaki KH400, the 2 stroke triple. That thing was a rocket. Now, 30 years later, I'm back on a Kawasaki.
