What would u do?
Hello everyone! This is my first post but a rather sad story. I got my 05 636 last february. Loved it and enjoyed every minute of being on the bike. My uncle had a 750 GSXR and on thanksgiving day we went for a ride together not knowing it would be his last. We only made it about a hundred yards from where we started and he wrecked doing a wheelie right infront of me. I couldn't avoid the accident and ran over him and all most completely cut my foot off as a result. My ankle was ****ed up pretty bad but they saved my foot after about three surgeries and a skin graft. My uncle died from internal bleeding and a broken neck. Its been about six months after the accident and I'm just starting to walk and I miss my uncle very much but all I can think about is riding my bike again. Would you?
I love this forum and love reading you guys posts so any comments you have I would appreciate. Thanks!

Ditto there Evil!!
Dude, it sucks what happened.. I feel for ya.. we've all had friends or family go down. I bet he went with a smile...ya, he would want you to get back on... Would I.. yes. I would and I have..went through a very similar thing about 7 years ago. There is a peace that the bike can give you that you can't get from anywhere else. Once you start riding again, everything will come together..
btw, Welcome to the forums!! Dont be a stranger around here.....

well welcome to the forum. I'm really sorry to hear about what happened! My advice would be do what will make you happy. If you yearn to ride, then ride, if you ride and it doesnt feel right, then you have your answer. Stick around and keep us informed.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. And like a few people before me, if you feel the urge to ride, do it. Take it day by day, ride by ride - you'll know if its right.
My condolences to you and your family. I am glad to hear that you are healing up too!
