ORIGINAL: KevyzToy

After I got done with the POS Bridgestone 020's that came on my ZRX, my last 7 sets of tires were Dunlop 208's. They handled well, lasted long enough for me ( got 5k from the rear, but I always change both at the same time). Now I am on a set of M1's. Went to them because they are on clearance because Metzler has a new compound. I like them. Only have about 1500 miles on them, but I haven't had a chance to really hit twisties with them since I live in South Florida. Will be head for North Ga in June to see how well they stick. Everyone who's had them say they are great.

My tire guy has great deals. I just may go buy a couple of sets to have in the garage for when I'm ready for them.
I'm seriously thinking about trying out the M1s too. But it's tough ... I really like my Pirelli tires. I found this place in town that sells tires at discount prices so I can get the set for under $180. Thanks for the info man.

My buddy and I were just in the mountains a few days ago. He's running the M1's on his R6 and seems to like them. I have the Pilot Power's on my 9R and have no complaints so far. We were pushing them pretty good with no trouble.

The rumor with the Pilot Power is that they are your favorite tires for the first half of their life. After that they crap the bed. I think I'm going to go to the M1's after this set. The M1's are a little less as well. I think you'll be happy with any of the big hitters to be honest.

I used to run Pirelli Diablos too and then started getting deals on Pilot powers so everyone in our crew switched. I think they are a great tire until, like BattRECON said the second half of their life. I'm going back to Pirelliz. They make a 200 and Pilot Power does not. Since I'm stretch'n and slammin my 12 I could care less about corners now.
