Upgrading from a 600

That would be one reason why they stoped the 636.

Ducati of course is making the 749. The biggest advantage of both the gixxer 750 and the zx7 is the handling. nothing else can carve as hard and as confidently as either of those. My 98 ZX9 is 143 hp.

I have heard on good authority that the zx7 will be coming back for 08, along with some other manufacturers as well.

Awesome, i also heard a rumour today, that the 08 zx6r was going to come stock with a steering damper too. also found out that the aussie bikes have a few extras on you americans heehee

Why do you need the extra power? Out at the races there are guys on 600s running in the top classes ahead of many 1000s. Until you are at the limit of the bike, and can't go any faster around a track because of a lack of power, then it maybe time to upgrade. For the street you can't even come close to using a 600 to it's limits.

On a side note, does anyone know the horsepower of each model? (600, 750, 900, 1k, 12, 14)
stock hp think the 7 is listed at 112 and the 10r at 175. That is listed and may not be actual hp numbers for ya.

Thats quiet funny actually... The 7 is at 112hp, and the new ZX6R is at 130hp stock.
