Yes. Depends on the track and organizer. Indicated 160+ on the speedo.

So it sounds like you considering it??? I took my 636 to the track for the first time last Oct. What a blast! I've got my second track day next Monday, and my third scheduled in April. Being that new to the track, I won't speak with any authority, but I can tell you that different track day organizers have different rules regarding the gear you wear, bike setup (replacing coolant with track alternative, taping/not taping the lights, etc). In any case they'll make you disable the lights and tape or take off your mirrors. They also have different rules on passing. Nost of the track providers have their rules on their website, as well as list of things you should bring ('cuz you'll forget something!). They'll cover all the rules and flags in the rider meeting at the beginning of day.

In my case, since it was my first time, I didn't rent a timer. Just wanted to focus on getting familiar with the track, and my bike at speed. Not much time or point in looking at the speedo,I'd saywas hitting 130's-140's at the end of the straight at T-hill (which I'm sure some people aresnickering at).But it was carrying speed through the corners, and learning the lines that was the funpart.

I'll shut up now and let the more experienced talk! If you go, post up your experience.

The straight away is 3600ft long. You come out of the last corner going about 80mph so 160mph isn't that impressive. Liter bikes are hitting well over that. It is a track, what type of speeds do you think you hit?
