Test ride when selling ... ?
People,
I'm selling my other bike and a guy wants a test ride. I have said "no way" ... but am wondering if people allow them.
How do I know if the guy just got its license? What happen if he drops it?
To many uncertainties ...

That's a tuff one, serge. I myself would never buy anything without a test ride. Go to the Chevy dealer, and buy a brand new car, with no test ride. Nobody's gonna do it. If this dude is serious about buying the bike, he should have brought cash. If he drops it, you're out a bike. So basically, make him pay for it, then he can test ride. If he drops it, you keep the money and sign over title. If he does not drop it, you give back money.......

RE: Test ride when selling ... ?
When I was looking at my bike - the guy selling it was okay with the test ride, basically said you drop it, you bought it! But then again.........I didn't have my license so I couldn't test it, but my dad did take it for a test ride for me.
I think it would be a good idea to get some amount of money from the guy and make him sign some sort of agreement (you'd probably need to make sure that it is legally binding) stating that he is willing to pay for any potential damages resulting his test ride.
Tough decision.
