it al depends on what kind of riding you all will be doing. let her sit on many bikes and see what is comfortable. need to sppend ten to twenty min on a bike in riding position to make sure it will be comfortable for her. 250 or 500 make great starter bikes though.

evil636, I'm open to any place in Cali. I can come pick up anywhere, but Socal preferably.
gsims, thanks for the information man. great info. My girl probably won't be riding freeway for a while. As for me, I ride around Lancaster, Northridge, basically anywhere in Socal. I wish I could meet up with some of you socal riders one day.

To everyone else, thanks for all the informative words. I guess, ima take my girl to go to some dealerships and have her start sitting on some bikes to see which one she will fit.

i need to go to the dealer after work so ill look over there at mid cities. they usually have a few used 250's in stock. theres a place in santa ana that sells new bikes for pretty cheap. might consider that too with the deals they have going on right now. probley end up financing 900 bucks. ill see if i can find the link.

e-fiz,

I work in Valencia and go to school in Northridge - there are some great rides between here and Lancaster - and we ride 'em on the weekends! Drop me an email with your number and we'll hook up for a ride.
