Would the starter be the same out of a higher bike like the kz650 or 900 as it is in my 440? I found only one starter for my bike and the guy just sold it... I went to the kawasaki dealership near me and they wanted $525 for a new one. That is way to much so trying to get my old one rebuilt but it might not work... Thanks again

 

Nope, should be a different starter. $410 for your starter on www.bikebandit.com There are quite a few mc wrecking yards online. You might try that out.

Should be able to rebuild your old one for around $60-70 bucks.
