Default So I test rode a SS 600 today.

I was out riding around, and just enjoying the day, I was planning on going up to get a jacket. And I saw this Red/white 07 Gixxer 600. I looked it over, and checked it out for a second, not thinking much of it, then BAM I got attacked by the sales rep! First words out of his mouth, like the bike huh? and I said yeah, its nice. Then he asked me if I wanted to test ride it, I thought about it for a while. And said sure. Didn't make me sign anything, just wanted a copy of my Drivers licence.

I killed it once, but thats because the clutch was a bit more refined then mine, after that, it was smooth as butter. I was impressed at how comfortable, and crisp the handling was, as well as the throttle response, brakes, and shifting. The seating was more comfortable... and the ability to cruise around town in 1st and 2nd gear was awesome.... means less work for my legs haha. Im lasy. Anyways, it was a bummer getting back on my 250 Oh well, least I know what a 600 feels like... and I think I may upgrade. I am planning on alot of interstate riding, and the 250 isnt going to cut it. Plus my GF likes riding, so I may give it to her.

I would ride a gsxr too. It is always up to you if that bike is more comfy over the other one.

Yeah im not going to go buying the first bike I see. I want to look around a bit, find one that I like. As far as the comfort, and I know im not a BIG guy. 5'7" 210lbs. But I kinda feel cramped sitting on my bike, and when I want to lay on the tank, its harder cause the bike was designed with the more sit up style riding. I just felt more like I was stretched out and comfy on the 600. I also noticed I wasnt getting blown around on it as much as i do on my 250. But I really want to ride a ZX6R, an R6, and a CBR600 before I know which one I want.

wow good luck on the test rides. But I was blown away on the 88 models of the kawi brand, but may have been suckered into the great rides from kawi. My suz dirt ride from 1973 was still a die hard though.

Yeah, I went to the Yamaha/Honda dealer and they didnt have anything used so i couldnt test an R6, and the Kawasaki dealer said they wont let people test ride bikes because of insurance reasons, even tho three people said they tested various bikes before buying and he let them.

But I tell you what, the Gixxer had the Jardine GP exhaust on it, and HOLY **** it was loud. I thought about asking the guy for some ear plugs haha, but sounded decent none-the-less. Anyways, I'll be looking around and maybe I might find another dealer around here who might have something im looking for, and possably at a good deal. But I probaly wont buy til march tho.

Haha, yeah thats pretty much what I said. But in a much nicer way. I think hes just mad that he tried to sell something to me, and did not have what I wanted, and got butt hurt over the fact that I found something I wanted at another kawasaki dealer lol. But I told him in the first place so its his own fault!

Anyways I just found the GREATEST Wheels in the world.

I just wish I could find them in Super Polished on a Black 08 GSXR 600/750. All i see is the white, red and black ones

Take a peek at the group buy section in here and on other sites before you spend that $. Good luck.
