if you do a side by side comparasion of the factory manuals compaired to the so called atfermarket equalvant you would noadus a lot of diffrences between the two if you just plain on doing your own maintence go atfermarket but if you plain on owning the bike longenuff to need a major overhall go factory. it costs more in the begining but it beats paying for it twice

Not that factory manuals are bad, but most of them are meant for the mechanic techs. This means for the Newbie (not saying that you are one) they won't be very user friendly. They just don't go into as much detail on getting from point A to point B. Where as a Clymer will help the "do it yourselfer" figure out in more steps how to achieve point B.
All in all, you will have a more complete reference with the factory manual, but I feel the aftermarket manual may help you out a little better.
