Default Shop Manual

So I am a do it yourself guy and I keep hearing about these shop manuals. Are they just like a Haynes or Chilton for a Kawi or what? Can I just get one at Autozone or O'Reily's or do I have to order it from Kawasaki? Thanks in advance

There are a few chilton's and haynes manuals that deal with motorcycles, but Clymer manuals are much better in dealing with specific bike models. You can also order the holy grail of manuals by getting the Kawasaki service manual for your bike, but expect to pay some uber bucks for one. Plus, you have to buy it from an authorized Kawasaki dealer.

Clymer will set you back about $30, and the factory manual will run between $80-100. []

I use Clymer, and don't think you'll find too much that it doesn't have over the factory manual.

Almost any local bike shop carries Clymer. Otherwise, you could get some body's used Clymer off eBay for even cheaper.

I can hook you up with a pdf download of the factory shop manual for the 7. You will need broadband.
