RIDER DOWN!!!
So everyone, I have some news that none of us like to hear. I went down on my bike last week. Here is the whole story or at least what I can remember. I was riding upa main streetnot being wreckless at all when I notice a lady sitting at a stop sign at a cross street I am about to pass. As I approach the intersection, mind you there is no stop sign for me, she begins to creep out and than stops. As my front wheelwas passing her car she jets out from the stop sign. I tried to speed out of the situation to avoid getting hitbut instead she hit my back wheel and sent me skidding a few feet before the bike falls and pins me underneath it. Next thing I know a lady is standing over me telling me shes calling for help and I'm telling her I dont own a motorcycle! I got a concussion from the fall but luckily I was wearing my gear and the only other injury I have is some minor road rash from the friction of sliding on the ground. The lady never stopped and no one got a plate number so pretty much she left me to die. I'm a little shaken up but I've already said I'm not going to let this accidentkeep me from riding. Although Im gonna get back on my bike I am afraid its going to change how I ride and make me overly cautious and make me even more accident prone. Do you guys have any tips that could help me out in this situation? And how long do you think I should not ride after having this concussion? I know you guys might not be doctors but if you have had a concussion yourself maybe you could give me some advice from experience. Thanks guys and hope to hear from everyone soon.

RE: RIDER DOWN!!!
Glad your not seriously injured take care of that head i cant believe how often i hear about cars not stopping after they hit you i hear it a lot and just don't get it are they really more afraid of getting in trouble or havin insurance go up than to let another human being just lay there and bleed WTF i try to stay optimistic and believe people are good but it seems to get harder to do all the time. Don't let it change the way you ride drive defensively but not scared did your bike survive the fall
