Default Ride Repot

Well if finally warmed up a little today and I got my 08 ZZR600 out pretty much for the first time. I bought it in November and haven't ridden it since the day I bought it and that was just for a few miles. So I decided to take it out around the neighborhood and 35 miles later, I arrived back home(Hoedog, finally over that 6 mile mark and now at 42!)This is my first sport bike and what a blast. I could't be happier with this bike. I started off wanting a Ninja 650 and someone mentioned the ZZR and I'm glad they did. I am breaking it in the way I did my KLX. I will take it easy, which is a good thing as I'm a begginer, but it is impossible to keep this bike under 4000rpms. I vary the rpms and keep it under 5k. Most of the roads around here are 55mph and the bike is at around 5k at 55mph.I can't get over how easy this bike is to ride and how nice it handles. I also can't believe the power this thing has. I have a lot of respect for this bike and as long as I keep the respect, we should get along just fine. There is a lot of melting snow going on so I do have to take it slow. It's a little different than my KLX! Here are a few pics from today. They are just from my driveway.

Now wait a minute, I don't mind reading a ride report, and I'll even lower myself to read a ride report from a slab rider, but correct me if I'm wrong, but to be called a "ride" report don't you actually have to......oh I don't know.......ride the bike somewhere?[8D][8D][8D] Just messing, who cares if you didn't leave the driveway, man that is a saaaaweeeeet bike!!!

Hey, Even if it's 35 miles, and didn't really go anywhere in particular, it's still a ride. I really did just plan on going around the neighborhood so I didn't bring the camera with, could've used cell phone, oh well. This bike fits me so nice, I planed on just taking it easy around the side streets and not taking it on the highway for a while. Ended up on highway for about 6 miles. Deej, you need to try one of these. Holy crap they are fun. I can't wait till it's broken in. Had to break in my KLX about this time last year. I think I'll be putting miles on this one a little more.

Nothing performance wise. I bought a KLX250 last year as my first bike in a long time and this is my first sport bike. After riding it yesterday and keeping in easy, this thing will have more power than I'll see for a while. Would like to add a few cosmetic mods though. Smoked windsheild, different bar ends, black vortex swingarm spools for a start.

Nothing wrong in circulating the oil rides, ie 30 mile runs. Glad that you are feeling comfy with your ride.
