pricing help guys!
i know this is a KF but i need some help on if this bike is a good deal or not....
its a 2003 honda cbr600rr thats red, fairings have some minor scratches on them. nothing that couldnt be waxed or compounded on, rides smooth, new tires >200 miles ago, oil change at same time.
it has about 23,xxx miles on it.
and they are asking 4k.
is this a bit high for the mileage or am i just being paranoid?
not too many extras, yoshi slip on, and fender deleter. thats about it.
thanks much guys and gals!

RE: pricing help guys!
i thought it sounded kinda high as well.
i've been looking around and my neighbor who has been riding for about 40 years, has suggested about 4 or 5 bikes i should start on....
honda cbr600rr
suzuki gsxr anything from 500 to 750
ninja zx-6r or 6rr or 636
any thing like that he says will do.
he and i both have our own personal vendettas against yamaha so lets not discuss that option.
i know you guys get a lot of posts asking what are good bikes for beginners. sorry.
i've ridden on both the cbr and the zx-6r, i love the handling and the feel. both street and highway rides nice.
anything to add guys? this is a discussion after all...

4k for an 03 600 is a good summer price but it's october you should be looking for a 600 somewhere around 3k since it will get cold soon depending on where you are. (darn you cali folk) I wouldnt really worry about milage as long as its been maintained and not raced extensively ( you know a few of those 23k miles were at 100+ but from the short list of mods I would say it was excessive. but ya never know)
If it runs without any trouble and the guy has taken car of it, you can keep it running for years. I would say wait for a really cool day and then offer 3000 to 3500, he will probably take the deal to keep from storing it...depending on climate of course, if your in socal 4k might be the best you will get.

RE: pricing help guys!
thanks for the kls advice.
sorry man.
so come spring, i'm going to be the first one signing up for that msf course.
going to have my either zx-6r or cbr600rr all set up and ready to go.
gear ready of course. pants, shoes, jacket(s), helmet(s), gloves.
then, just following the road baby!
i figured that kind of price was a little up there.
do you guys have any bargaining points when buying a bike that i could possibly use?
i'm already bringing along a family friend who has been riding for 30+ years. on cruisers, but bikes are bikes.
just would like to know of anything else
