New tire went flat!
I bought some new tires for my 14 at Honda Toledo east two weeks ago. The first time I went riding, I stopped at a friends house, hung out for about 30 minutes. When I started to get back on my bike, the back tire was flat. It was a Dunlop Qualifier and cost about 200 dollars.
There was a small hole in the tire and I dont have a clue how it got there. This is the first flat I have had on a bike in several years, and I was wondering if it is possible to patch it and still be able to run 200 mph. For some reason I do not trust this tire now and will probably just bite the bullet, and buy another tire. I called Honda and ask them if it had some kind of warranty, and they just him hawed and said it would be up to Dunlop which tells me I'm probably screwed. Has anybody ever patched a tire and run at hyper speeds?
PS, the honda place stated that they are not allowed to patch tires.

yeah, I agree on not running the patch. I would bite the bullet and buy a new one. You have to feel comfy on your ride to be safe, and since the 14 may hit 80mph with a tail wind,...lol

yep. everyone said it....get a new one. I have a friend that used to take bike tires, put a piece of plywood in the tire, and make a wall clock out of it...was pretty cool...zx14 tire wall clock. lol

I cant help it doggy! All that horsepower just makes me crazy! But yeah, I just called and ordered a new tire, this time a Pirelli! Dunlops are not all that good to begin with but it was all they had at the time that would fit my bike. The old tires looked like slicks!
