Default need some help...'accelerating' , litterly

ok, my old bike (04 800 marauder) was 64hp...and 485 lbs) you could just go out, amd at any mph crack it WIDE OPEN and just go...i took my 650 out (05 daytona 650) and i barley tapped 1/4th throttle and it popped a wheelie...i then hit 2nd gear and it did the same thing, and im hardly touching th gas...can some one assist me? i wanna go sraight...not up!


any insidte would be helpful....i only have 11 miles logged into a sportbike....i was thinking like ...burn the clutch? let me know please, thanks/// btw im fairly light, lol, 5'9', 130 lbs...

you could take it to the dealership and have then check your throttle to make sure it is adjusted right

Sounds like way to much throttle. Go easier on it. If you hammer it it will go like mad. Also the throttle is way different from your other bike, a 1/4 turn to you may be 3/4 or almost full. Check your throttle in neutral and find out how and where it is open and 1/4 open ect.
