Ding ding ding ding. We have a winner. They are off a '74 Z1 900. The start of the superbike craze. Honda had the 750
in '69, but never improved on it. Kawi had the 2 strokes in the early '70's, then came out with the 903cc Z1. It was bad *** for the time. I still want one.

My bike is a '01 ZRX1200R. Just the badges are off a Z1.

Nice thread, kev.

I had an old Kawasaki 400 2-stroke triple back in the day and that thing wouldaccelerate hard. You had better be darned sure you were holding on tight when you wrapped open the throttle.
