My 95 Zx 9 Will not start when the bike sits in the sun.
I had the problem and I changed the starter solenoid as I thought this was my problem. However I went to work yesterday and my bike sat in the sun for about all day (8 or 9) hours. When I went to start it up it turned and clicked. I tried again and It would only click. Can anyone tell me what this could possibly be causing this issue? Thanks in advance.

Turn the key to the "off" position after trying to start. Move "Run/Stop" selector switch to "Run" position. Speak one-sentence expletive, twice in succession. Turn key to "On" position. Hit the start button.
If that doesn't work, check your battery, ground wire, ignition switch, side-stand kill switch, clip-on on/off switch, and starter connection. If you've replaced the solenoid, it sounds like a wiring ground "short" (of sorts.) My 9 will do this same thing occasionally. Battery is fine.

and this only happens when out in the sun and not after a long ride when you start it back up in an hour lets say? If you relieve the tank pressure will the ride turn over or still just click? (The cylinders are not hydrolocked after sitting that long?)
welcome to KF, was just tossin' other ideas out there. Generally it is a bad connection. Good luck.
