Motorcyclist Arrested For Helmet Cam

At least there's a happy ending to this story. A motorcyclist recorded an incident when he was pulled over by the police and posted it on youtube. He was charged under the wiretap laws if you can believe that. The judge threw the case out of court arguing that police have no reasonable expectation of privacy in public places performing public duties.

Good on that judge. The implications of a ruling the other way are pretty horrendous. Every lawyer and police personnel involved in bringing this to court and jailing the man should be fired. Who do they think they are that they can jail someone for videotaping in public? Since when did that become a crime?
