i live in PA and i have drivers permit . does anyone know if i need drivers license to get my motorcycle permit.

 

yes you must get a regular drivers licience to get a motorcycle permit
once you get a regular licience, get the permit and then enrole in the MSP offered by the state for free, that will earn you a motorcycle licience

 

Since you have the Internet perform a search on PA Department of motor vehicles . Key word license and requirements . Or ask a local trooper next time you see one .

They would be able to tell you the laws of your state best as opposed to a board that has limited experience as to your states laws and requirements .

Since he has a class C permit he can get a M permit now he just needs to apply and pay the fee

c10 i need to take you with me to the dmv b/c I when i went earlier this year to get my licience, they wouldn't issue some guy a permit b/c he didn't have a licience. maybe there were other things involved but thats not what they told him.
