Default This may be premature but....

I may have a bike!!! <squirms and wiggles and freaks out> I finally found a seller, not too far from me even, willing to work with me on a Kawi 250. Apparently she's been laid down, and needs new front blinkers and tires, but is otherwise fine. I'm going to have my roomate (who's an experienced biker) and father (ditto) accompany me to make sure everything checks out. If everything does, I can have cash on hand to throw at this guy, truck the bike to my complex, lock her up, and take the next few weeks to get the tires, blinkers, and course out of the way.

I'm so excited!!!!

I've been looking around, and looking around, and looking around some more. I was starting to get discouraged, but it seems it's really.going.to.happen, sooner than I thought! I might be counting my chickens before they hatch. She could be a total lemon. BUT, well I'm just so ecstatic right now I'm nearly crying; tears of the happy kind. Wish me luck.

Please God/gods/goddess/Darwin/whatever, let this not fall through.

Thank you! I just registered for the MSF course for Jan 20-21st. Weeee! My dad is going to lend me his trailer so I can truck her to my complex. After the 1st of next month I can afford the front blinkers, new tires, raingear, and should be ready to go.

Awsome news leena... thats just cosmetic stuff... it can all be fixed, that just means the cost of the bike will be less.. Good luck.

Thankee EMS! Just went to a local bike store and picked up a lock for her... (my friend Shawn's bike was stolen out of the same complex) and I'm waiting to hear back from the seller.

Best theft deterrent system; loud alarm and Remington 870 with slugs [sm=shootshoot.gif]

damn...where I live, you can leave your keys in the ignition. I actually leave them in my truck, but I take them out ofmy bikes. In fact, alot of people I know around here always leave their keys in their vehicles. But, if I do hear anything su****ious, Im armed to the hilt.

Same where i live. but I'm too close to campus and learned the hard way that a low crime area isnt all its cracked up to be. I always lock up now. Who takes the faceplate off a 3 year old walmart special stereo anyway?
