RE: Longest ride!
Longest ride was my favorite ride, too. For our 11 year anniv. me and my husband rode from Sacramento to laytonville (BFE) then to Fort Bragg than took the long back to Sacramento. It was roughly 500 miles in two days. tons of fun!

I have no idea how many kilometers I put on, but one day left at 11:00 am and didn't come back home until 8:00 pm (was off the bike for a total of 1 hour to grab a bite to eat) Awesome ride! Can't wait to do it again this summer!

RE: Longest ride!
The longest one here was from Lansing, MI to Caseville, MI and back (about 380) miles with a couple quick stops in between. That was over a weekend and the total mileage was probably closer to around 500 miles. My friends and I plan on taking a longer trip from lansing, mi to denver, co over the summer... not sure how the gas/fill-up intervals will be through the BFE parts of Nebraska along I-80... this brings up a good question:
What do you do if you break down far away from home... besides for calling someone obviously. What do you all bring along with you just in case:
Tirepump, extra gas container, even a trailer? I'd like to hear what the more experienced road-trippers do. Thanks!
