Default KZ1000

Will take a peek at a KZ tomorrow. While sitting for long periods hahaha the case gets filled with gas, easy enough fix. Asking price is $500, dent in tank new tires, chain. Much as I know at this time. What is the going price of the KZ1000's? My wife wants to play on the streets with me, so was going to look at the ride for her. Any ideas?

My wife is a newbie as well. Will see how a street ride will fit her and put her through the paces. Cones and my expectations, could be too heavy of a ride for her. Not sure, but will look at the ride non the less. (although she wants me off of the streets and back on the track). Confusing

lol, yes they are confusing. my wife seems to really like the vulcan 800, that has a low seat height, but i too am concerned about the weight.

Which 1000 is it? A lot depends on the model and condition.
The A1 (1977) is becoming more of a 'collector' bike.

Could be anywhere between free to over $2000(nice looking ELR) depending on model and condition.

Over the past 3 years I have bought four non running kz1000. Cheapest $75, most expensive $950. I have about $2000 additional in the four so far and expect to spend another $3000 to $4000 before they are good solid road bikes. I joined up here on ZRX forums to look for ZRX suspension for one of them :-)

It is just a 92 P model, saddle bags are there, crash bars but no front fairing.

Might be a little heavy to begin with Drag, who knows. My g/f was looking at a 99 CBR 600 at the bike shop. I hated to tell her it too much to begin with being quite the newbie. She only wanted it because it's orange and black. Because her birthday is on halloween. Typical woman eh? I say buy it anyway, always room for one more in the garage!

hmm, already bought Omalley, too much weight? I would understand. no shame in a failure. the ride I tried out is a beast. builds character.
