get 2 seperate policys. my basic street liability is only 114 a year and my cover my *** and bike policy is just under 500 a year for the bikes aftermarket parts being fully covered from crash, theft, vandalism and so on. and this is on a zx6r so id shop around. hell, just get the 300 bucks a year liability and go ride and keep the bike in a secured location.

If you haven't tried State Farm yet, do it. When I checked rates for a ZX14, they quoted me $308/yr for full coverage!!! No other insurance companies can even come close to State Farm when it comes to sport bikes. (My only problem is that I still can't afford the ZX14.)

damm, thats cheap and for your age thats even cheaper. i know way back when insurance on my 900 was in the 3000 range due to my age and it went a little lower with the 750, also due to age.

yeah stateffarm is supposed to be one of the best around here to go through -- i'll be adding my house to their insurance for even deeper discounts.

I got a quote from Essurance for like $3000/yr for
liability. (Esurance was always my provider for my car
which was cheap enough for me!
Then I got a quote from Progressive for $300/yr
Went with them.
But it seems like they are going by the info I gave them for
my quote. (example: I told them I had a wreck(not at fault)
and minor moving violation)
It doesnt seem like they really went off my actual history. WTF?

It couldn't be more relevant than with motorcycles to shop around before choosing an insurance provider. The majority of insurance companies out there don't generally like insuring motorcycles due to their inherently higher risk of being wrecked. This is especially true for sport bikes!

they base it on that - and will probably check you history at some point - so don't be supprised if the rate changes if you weren't honest about your record.
