Default Hi To all, Trying to sort my zzr600

Hi, Ive got a 1993 - e1 zzr600, i paid £600 for it in july 2006. Well im trying to get it sorted out once and for all. Ive replaced the plastics, the tank, and im in the process of spraying them black. I got hold of another frame and sprayed it satin black, looks so cool. Also finally got hold of a Hagon rear shock and front springs!!! yipee. My question is if i replace air filter with a K&N, change the carb needles and get a pair of viper race cans, Will it improve my top speed, i can get about 151 at the moment. I want to try and get it to about 165, also ive heard of spitfire ht lead connectors which is supposed to give you an extra 5bhp. soooo just like to know!

Thanks

Before you spend any more on the go faster bits, maybe you should consider the brakes? Always remember, there's only a couple of square inches of rubber between your a**e and the tarmac. Gravel rash is painful. Slow down and enjoy the view.

Yup, gear first, suspension and tires second.

Once gear and breaks are done, a change of ratio by means of a smaller rear sprocket (or a larger front one) may do the trick. It depends if teh bike has the "grunt" to pull a taller ratio.
