I have a 04 636 I was ridin the other day and it startedmake a real loudknockin noise I thank thats whatthat is it only makes that sound when I hit the gas but not when it idles , the bike has 19,000 mile on it so does anyone know whats up with it or can give me some websties to go to with motor diagram.

Does it do it when your rolling or sitting still? I noticed your name... lol, did you run that through it as well

 

the nitrous is on my other bike lol and no it does not do it when it is still, it does when it rollin though

 

Have you checked your chain to see if it is binding or loose? My friends did the same thing, I could even hear it riding next to him. His was binding though.

 

no its not the chain, i can hear it comin out of the motor when its still i rev it up i can hear the noise

 

well ok, rolling or not it makes the noise with throttle, Is this a bike you bought new or used? I would say it sounds like a rod cap loose, though these things are hard to impossible to diag. over the net.

Well any type of nocking noise is not a good sign... I think you know that considering its not your first bike. But with it being used you have no history of the bikes first miles and thats what sux. Someone could have ran the shiot out of it or ran it low on oil or overheated it... It could also be a spun bearing. I would not ride it anymore and I dont know if your machanically inclined or not. I would also have someone listen to it and get more advise on what it could be, but knocking with more revs is ussually spun bearing or loose rod caps due to spun bearing or stressed cap bolts.
