actually the clear coat was dry for like 2 days before I packed it up. Im curious as to why it did that. Especially since I let it dry out here in the texas heat in a room outside. What have you tried to get the packing peanut stuff off? It did have a nice shine on it still though...hehe.

hey dallin....I thought of something besides wetsanding/rubbing compound and wax. Try using some alcohol on the spots and see if they come out. Oh and wash the alcohol off right away.

oh and just talked to a buddy of mine that worked for fed ex. He said that the trucks continuously reach 100+ degrees and are humid....he thinks that might have happened as it was completely dry and then was in the house a day(so it was cool) before packed up.

I started taking it off but it's actually imbedded in the clear coat. It's really not too bad, and I think most of it will come off. And.. it still is 10 times better than what it was.

Looks like either Llama or camel tracks......Maybe your shipment got hijacked for a day? I am sure lemac or BR would not admit to that of course.
lmao

But actually, that is weird. Looks like the peanuts actually bonded with the finish. What clear coat TX?

That sux about the peanuts. Looks like the helmet turned out good TX. Good job man.

Maybe a 1500 or 2000 grit wetsand will take care of it??
